From the Catalog select the Add Prod button.
When the Add Product dialog window opens you need to enter basic information about the item such as Manufacturer, Model, Category and Spec; then click on the Media tab to add your drawings.
In the Media tab you will find the drawing section. The drawing section labeled Number 1 is reserved for AutoQuotes drawing files and the section labeled number 2 is for user drawing files. You can add a plan, elevation or Revit Family to your custom items. If you have a spec sheet, this can be added as well in the spec sheet section.
To add a drawing, click on the plus symbol. Your computer browser window will open and allow you to navigate to the drawing file you have created or downloaded.
Once you have entered a drawing, the dwg symbol will appear in the appropriate box.
Select the check box to add the item and drawing file to your AutoQuotes Catalog. When you navigate to your item in the catalog you will see an “A” symbol indicating the item has a CAD symbol attached. The details panel of the Item will be represented with a “P2” icon and the “P” symbol of your keyboard representing the item.
The item model number is in blue identifying the item was created by a user in your company.
When you press the “P” button, the item will insert into AutoQuotes Designer. You can also add Utilities to your new item under the Electrical and Mechanical Tabs of the product edit window. This will populate the utility grids when the item is selected.
If you would like to add a CAD symbol to an existing AutoQuotes item, the procedure is the same. When you select an item from the catalog, you will press the Edit Prod button instead of the Add Prod button.
