When printing a report the initial preview you see is an HTML representation of the report. This HTML representation is one continuous page regardless of how many pages may be produced in the finial PDF. Because of this there are no headers, footers, or page breaks in the initial report preview. Headers, footers, & page breaks are applied to each page when you open the report as a PDF by clicking the "Open in Adobe" button in the toolbar, emailing the report, or printing the report to your local printer. Creating the report as HTML before you pull down the final PDF speeds up the AQ New Look application substantially as many times a user will need to go back and make changes or adjust report options prior to producing the final PDF. Instead of having a user create and then recreate multiple PDFs, which can put a substantial load on the server for all users, the creation of the PDF is reserved for the final stage of report production.
